When I miss school and I’m sick…

New Term… new schedual.. new doom.

Right now I have a foods class in my schedual. It’s not that bad I’m sure. I have decent cooking skills and all. I’m not a picky eater. So I’m trying tot alk myself into enjoying the class a bit and I walk into the room. Who ARE these people?! Not a single face I recognize.
I don’t mean no friends. I mean I’ve never seen any of these kids before. And I’m good with faces. I may not have a name for you. But I’ll remember seeing you in a class or a hallway or a friend of a friend kind of thing. where have they been hiding?! Who are they working for? and why don’t I recognize them?
It makes me very nervous. I have social issues or something. Outside of a convention I’m terrible at talking to people. Even AT a con. I don’t approach people. The only difference there is when they say hello or try to hug me, I don’t Feel the need to ask ‘what do you want with me’ and/or deck them.
So I’m put in a class with nobody I even recognize. Then put in a group. three other people I have to… socialize with… or soemthing… work with. But i don’t know them. And they’re my age…sorta. I don’t know how to talk to them. I mean… I’m kinda awkward with adults, and I’m totally fine with little kids. They like me. People my age though? Forget it, I dunno how to deal.
I don’t think I can stay in a class where I have to work this closely with classmates I don’t know. So… I’m signed up for a schedual change. :)

On the up side. I drewa pretty decent real-life-esq sketch from a picture of my friend Matt.
i decided I didn’t like the restristions of the width on the other theme… and that I ended up not sticking to that title I gave it.

So it’s changed. and I’ve put up and About Me (the Cat Name Dog) And an artsy Fartsy page. It has my sketches on it. I thought about a webpage one… but I don’t want to do that. So I’ve solved a few things I was working on with this site. Because I coudn’t figure out why i didn’t ever see my about me section… and I wanted some permanent pages. So now i have them! huzzah!

Now to just use this for evil… perhaps starting a small internet buisness and shamellesyly promoting it on here… who knows! I’d do sketches on commission.. XDD infact I do… but I do them for ridiculous things. Like “teach me math so i don’t fail my ACTs!” “Does that mean you’ll finish my drawing?” “o.o;; YES! now HELP ME!”

Mkay. I do not have a boyfriend. I don’t have a guy friend I casually kiss either. I do not have a female friend for either of those things either to keep your mind from going there.
I AM okay with this. if I had one that’d be cool. I’m not looking for one. or going out of my way to attract one. I’m not avoiding relationships I just don’t care.
Now you’re thinking ‘If she doesn’t care so much why is she posting about it, she’s obviously in denial.’ No that isn’t the point of this… the point of this is that my friends have no brains. Okay… that’s unfair… one of my friends has no brain. She hives a terrible name to blonds (or blondes) everywhere. (thank gosh I dyed mine brown).

I should not have to explain this! I do not care that I am single… dating in highschool is quite pointless. HOWEVER, the sounds of other people sucking face while I’m trying to watch a movie… is like when other people are eating around you and you’re not… and they’re eating something like… chewy… you know… when a little kid stuffs their mouth almost too much… and they can still chew… but it makes that gross sound that makes you gag a little? Yeah… it’s like that.
Moral of the story. If you and your boyfriend… are hanging out with a friend and her boyfriend… do NOT invite other people along unless they have a person to bring also. YOU may not feel weird cuddling with your other and being mushy infront of them… but they will feel damn awkward… and a little sick if you wanna start suckingface. I don’t mean kissing… like… people are happy… they hug and kiss… but I mean sucking face… like people do when they watch movies… or are in a similar situation where that kind of kissing happens… The ‘I’m going to lick your tonsils and know what you had for breakfast’ stuff… just… don’t do it infront of other people unless they have a way to tune you out…. and a movie is not a way to tune you out… neither is music.

I’m starting to remember I have this thing and that I should post in it.
theres a dance at my school. My school is not normal. Have I mentioned this? Well.. it’s not. NORMAL schools have ‘Homecomming’ right? Yeah… not us. We’re having the “Black and White” dance… so if I show up in black and white… I pay $3 to get in instead of the pricey $5 XD
Needless to say… I’ll be full out Gothic Lolita Kitty. Chunky Black Dolli shoes, White petticoats with black lace over them. Frilly white piratess shirt with black underbust corset and black lace jacket/ gloves. Paint my face up like a dolls. and of course… black and White snow leopard cat ears to go in poofy messy hair that has black ribbons in it.
At least… that’s my most amusing way to freak the heck out of my classmates. All I have to do is talk a couple other people into doing it with me >D
Sohhh… Ami and I drove down at 11pm Wednesday night to her aunts house in Warwick, RI near the New England Tech school. We had no radio so we’d be those two teenagers driving down 295 singing POTO, Les Miserables, Queen, and a few Christmas carols we learned in Chorus last year. Go us ^.^
Now… we got to the stat of RI with no problem… but ONCE we got there… we were nothing but trouble. First we missed our exit. and drove STRAIGHT into the airport parkinglot by accident. Got lost getting out of there. Found ourselves infront of a Khols and Toys R Us parking lot. At 12 30am. So we call her Cousin and she starts giving us step by step instructions on exactly how to get to the main road. Ami insists she knows the way from there. So we drive along turn down some road. Drive up and down it looking for the house. It’s not there. So we call the house back, her aunt must hate us at this point, turns out we’re one street over. So we get on the Right street. get to the Right house. go inside and sit at the kitchen table laughing and eating nachos with her cousins until 3am or so.
We get up around noon the thursday. Get dressed. Ami makes some strange egg toasty breakfasty kinda thing. It’s yummeh. We get showered get dressed and head out. We arriiiive at the School at like. 2pm. Hang around the Administrative Office til they’re ready to talk to us and bring us around. The Admin guy is cool and turns out almost everything they could give us we can get online so we don’t need to carry anything about with us.
The campus is cool. kinda big. theres a waterfountain in the front Lobby XD. We sat in on a lecture about something. Seemed very much just like… normal school. Boring… eh. they kinda left us at the lecture and that was pretty much the end of the toury thing. So we ended up just waiting for it to be done and making faces at some of the people there who were paying about as much attention as we were.
I know I made that seem really short.. but there really was much to tell… i mean. we saw a whole bunch of classrooms and stuff and things but other than the waterfountain it was… a building.
As we head out to leave the campus. The muffler on Amis car falls. Off. We just sat there ans stared at eachother. It made it all the way down to RI… and dies in the school parkinglot.
We’re lucky fools though. We’re about to call her aunt and AAA. Buuuut. The guys we were making fun of in the lecture Were leaving too. and stuck behind us. and lived close by. sooo.. we just got the car from the school to their house. It was dinnertime… we were hungry. So Ami stayed with her car and I ended up walking to Wendys with Tony, who’s… really tall.. like really. We got a whole ton of food and came back with it. Turns out Ami needs a new clamp and Autozones gonna take a few hours to get it.
Eat dinner, play videogames, sketch stuff, and get the clamp and a hanger to hold it on with. But by now it’s getting dark and They’re not sure if they can do it in the dark. So Dan’s working on the car and Ami, Tony, and I are sitting around the car with flashlights trying to make him see.
We completly give up at 11 because I Need to get home. So, everyone Piles into Tonys car, Ami gives him gas money, and they drive me home by Midnight ish. After they dropped me off they turned around and headed right back to their house to fix Amis car today. And i’ll be calling her afterschool to find out if she’s alright… XD
Adventures… adventues galore when I go places
Today was my first day of school. My senior year. w00t! I get a ride this year that isn’t the bus… yey!
MY homeroom was changed… which was weird… but I got moved to the library.. Because of the Digital Communicats class I took. As it turns out. That class is an experiment about intergrating online courses into highschools.
The point of the whole thing is to prove that we as students CAN learn off eachother witout a teacher leaning down our throats. That the web can be used to help us learn better. So over the course of this year 22 sudents will be enrolled in this course online without a teacher watching them.
We’re allowed to learn whatever we please, however we please. Just because it’s the first try. They’ve basically given us our own server with blogging capabilities and a forum. Our job is to learn how to best use our server. The best way to post blogs and the best way to post in the forums. How to post pictures there. And eventually, how to post up podcasts and videos onto it.
Our ‘assignments’ are to keep a blog and a personal word document journal about how we figured each thing out. even if we just learned it off of one of the other students who possted earlier in the day. we just copy their instructions and cite them with their username.
So we’re hopefully proving that students can learn off eachother without having to be in the same place at the same time with a teacher preaching to them and making them take notes. That we don’tNEED to be at school to learn. That the internet can be used for good. And that in a few years we can hopefully learregular courses on the site. But for now it’s just for our technology classes… and only a select few of them too.
But If I get an A or a B my name get’s put on one of those plaques on the wall that nobody ever reads… though it’ll still be cool to be on one. XD
So we went to the eye doctor… had to call my friend Nicki for a ride… cause bobberts car is deeaaadddd…
Buut…
I got my eyes dialated… and only one of my eyeballs reacted to it… XD so I look lopsided kinda… Bobbert called me demented
