I, Kiinu No Baka

WILL BE DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!!

AHAHAHAHA!!! YESSSS!!! LIFE IS GOOOOOOOOD! XD

I can’t wait. I have my accoutning final tomorrow and I’m exempt from my Marketing Ed. final (All Ihad left were business classes) So I’m DONE and OUT tomorrow! Dance with me! I NEVER have to go back there again! Except for Class Day where I’ll get my yearbook… but still! That’ll take like… a half hour at most :)

As For Big Y. That is my place of employment. I workj at the Deli.. I play with a big slicer and they gave me my own box cutter, and it’s GREEN!

Honeslty I thought I was going to haaate my job.. I thought I was going to despise going there all the time. Then again… prior to turning 18 I’d onmly be able to for front end or something. I am SO not good with small talk, or strangers. I am so shy it’s almost a physical need to run away sometimes.

But the deli is okay.. I’m behind a very large counter and people usually go there first (cause it’s right next to the entrance) so they’re still all joyful and such. Not stressed yet. The moms get all happy with you when you offer their kids cheese and talk to them while you’;re doing stuff, and I can do that. I’m WAY better at talking to kids. Mostly because they like to talk about EVERYTHING. so it’s easy.

And the people I work with are funny. My manager sings while he works and the assistant manager is actually kinda scarey and REALLY anal-retentive. But, most of the time I’m comming in at the end of both of their shifts so I don’t see them too much. I think they want me warking on closing shifts, which is totally fine with me. There aren’t a billion customers and I can just clean up the windows, wrap up stuff and talk to the two other ladies who work closing. They’re deffinatly more laid-back and the night manager of the store is much more laid back too.. she hangs around and talks to the other two deli ladies.

But some of the customers are funny. I had this older guy come in and ask for a sample taste of like six different salads. then he bought the one he didn’t taste. I mean it must have been one he always buys or something. But it was still funny.

And this one woman who asked for a piece of cheese even though she hald like three kida with her. I thought maybe only one of them could eat cheese so I gave her the one slice, and she started folding it to plit it between two of them. so I gave her a second one and her daughter got all happy and bounced about eating it and asking questions. It was very amusing and really cute. :)

Spring has Sprung April 20, 2008

College? April 1, 2008

Posting from school again.. surprise surprise :P

So.. Anybody got any thoughts on college? I’m definatly leaning towards not going. Now. Before you bite my head off. I’m choosing this because I’m starting to see that me going to college is lookign more and more like it will be a colossal waste of time AND money.

~

I know… I moved in with the craziest woman alive just to have financial aide for college. But, it’s getting closer and closer and people keep asking me what I’m going to do and I’ve filled out a few applications. And the hardest thing about these applications. Is the questions like ‘pick your major’ and then the little essay-ish spot where you tell WHY you chose this major.

I have no real passion or desire to go to school.. It’s just one of those things I’ve always assumed I HAD to do.

I’m beginning to believe I don’t.

I think maybe, I have just enough talent and just enough luck to make it without having to sit in classrooms full of people for four more years of my life.

I also think I wanna spend a summer singing on a cruies boat or something… Wouldn’t that be fun? I think so.

I can keep a regular lame-o job and keep up funds. Get my butt to all the nearby conventions and flea markets and sell sketches. Some already made and just framed. And some on commission. I’ll draw people.

Want me to draw you? I’ll do it free for now over the net. As long as you let me use your picture as a reference and a model display thingy at my cons. ^_^

ANIME BOSTON 2008!

This my friends is the second biggest Gathering of Anime Fans on the East Coast. A bnch of insanely hyper, sugar loving, costume wearing 10-30year old people (and that one lady with the hats.)Come together for a weekend in Boston and take over the Hynes Convention center/Sheraton/Prudential Mall/ Comply place hotel/ alot of the surrounding area.

You will see many crazies wearing strange getups (yes strange even for Boston) And you’ll hear more people screaming and galavanting in the late late hours of the night. All the 24hour feeding places will remember why they’re open at 4am.

The conservative people who don’t know of this comming will feel confused. Though hopefully not threatened. For we are a friendly bunch and will answer any and all questions (no matter how rude) with a huge freaking smile because we are SO HAPPY to be together again for another weekend of constant sugarhighs shared by over 9,000 people. (not a lie… check the site)

There will be a ballroom full of amature (and not so amature) artists selling their wares. There will be a gigantor ballroomand a half filed with online shops come to life. There will be 24/3 showings of anime. There will be 24/3 game room time.

And there will be raves. Oh yes the raves. Two of the Sheratons Ballrooms filled to fire hazard capacitey with people jumping and screaming and dancing. Dj’s blaring mixes scattered with anime theme songs. And people selling glowsticks.

Yes all of this insanity is an anime convention. A Convention full of people going crazy over cartoons. Damn straight. It’s the best weekend you’ll ever have. ^_^ I’ll be there in my weirdest clothes though probably looking the most normal

Kiinu vs. RMV March 2, 2008

So I’ve tried to get my liscense twice now. And twice now, I’ve failed.

The first time, I was taught to parallel park incorrectly. My drivers ed class used a very small car for road lessons and they only went over it once and they way they used worked quite nicely for that little car. Not so good with a truck. Oops.

The second time I parallel parked just fine, I drove just fine, and at the very last second I was pulling into the parking space at the end and my foot slipped. off. the. break…. The car lurched forward a foot-ish.. barely at all, the cop got twitchy, he MISSED the parking break and I, Me. stopped the car with fast enough reflexes that we only went a FOOT forward. and I didn’t hit anything. But he called it a near-collision (there was a car infront of me you see) and failed me.

Well, this is really an inconveniance to us, we have no cars with middle parking breaks (well.. we have one.. but i’m only allowed to use it early in the morning when I’d have to skip the only classes I NEED to graduate) So my mum has to borrow a friends car, which isn’t so bad cept we don’t all FIT in her friends car, and borrow really means trade so her friend still HAS a car.

BUT! this past Friday. Scabbers offered up his car for me to use. So mom sent a note into school, I got dismissed after my important classes, Scabbers relinquised his keys to me and we drove to worcester to get his side mirror replaced so they wouldn’t deny me on account of his car, then drove to the RMV in Southbridge to let me drive up and about on all the roads around the RMV

I got a different cop this time, I parked, I nearly got run over by some ninny comming up behind me too fast while I was changing lanes and the cop yelled and reached for my wheel, but I turned the car away before he touched it.

Strangely, this time. the cop didn’t think my demonstration of my quick reflexes was a bad thing. He said I was a good driver and that he was comfortable enough to talk to my sponser while I was taking my test and that he apologised for creating a distraction and passed me! w00t!

I am now liscenced to… cause mayhem and run-amok… or something like that.

My mum rewarded me by letting me have Scabbers and one of my other crazy friends over for dinner. And I’m now eternally grateful for Scabbers and his small car… it made everything really easy… being all small and easy to turn and stuff.. XD

Specially since he usually doesn’t let anyone drive his car. Silly boys and their cars.

Not Qualified For This! January 23, 2008

New Term… new schedual.. new doom.

Right now I have a foods class in my schedual. It’s not that bad I’m sure. I have decent cooking skills and all. I’m not a picky eater. So I’m trying tot alk myself into enjoying the class a bit and I walk into the room. Who ARE these people?! Not a single face I recognize.

I don’t mean no friends. I mean I’ve never seen any of these kids before. And I’m good with faces. I may not have a name for you. But I’ll remember seeing you in a class or a hallway or a friend of a friend kind of thing. where have they been hiding?! Who are they working for? and why don’t I recognize them?

It makes me very nervous. I have social issues or something. Outside of a convention I’m terrible at talking to people. Even AT a con. I don’t approach people. The only difference there is when they say hello or try to hug me, I don’t Feel the need to ask ‘what do you want with me’ and/or deck them.

So I’m put in a class with nobody I even recognize. Then put in a group. three other people I have to… socialize with… or soemthing… work with. But i don’t know them. And they’re my age…sorta. I don’t know how to talk to them. I mean… I’m kinda awkward with adults, and I’m totally fine with little kids. They like me. People my age though? Forget it, I dunno how to deal.

I don’t think I can stay in a class where I have to work this closely with classmates I don’t know. So… I’m signed up for a schedual change. :)

Finals. January 19, 2008

My school splits the year in half. I have hour and a half long classes. four a day. I like that schedual personally. ^^

Well… first half is over. I only had one class with a final (being a senior and being a lazy fart, I didn’t take too many ‘real’ classes) Real classes being a class that takes a whole half. I took mostly quarter classes and they don’t have a giant end-all final. they’re educational.. just not final-oriented.

My one and only final was my English class.. I like english actually… and I loved my teacher this year. She’s pretty cool and very laid-back about how you do her assignments. i mean you can’t go off and do a crappy job. but if you go a little off what she told you to do and still do a good job at it, she doesn’t mark off for straying on the topic.

~

My final was to give an oral presentation about any piece from my anthology project I passed in earlier in the year. Most kids did songs or poems so that they could fill time by analyzing them. I decided I wanted to do mine on my excerpt from LOTR.

but I couldn’t find a way to talk about that book or J R R Tolkien for 8 minutes and keep the class interested. Soooo… I decided to ramble on about how he made languages for the books. I had to have a visual of some sort so i wrote out names in the language.

Eveyone thought it was interesting and I got a B… wheeeeeee So… I might actually get a good grade this term… it’s quite magical. XD

Mkay. I do not have a boyfriend. I don’t have a guy friend I casually kiss either. I do not have a female friend for either of those things either to keep your mind from going there.

I AM okay with this. if I had one that’d be cool. I’m not looking for one. or going out of my way to attract one. I’m not avoiding relationships I just don’t care.

Now you’re thinking ‘If she doesn’t care so much why is she posting about it, she’s obviously in denial.’ No that isn’t the point of this… the point of this is that my friends have no brains. Okay… that’s unfair… one of my friends has no brain. She hives a terrible name to blonds (or blondes) everywhere. (thank gosh I dyed mine brown).

Today. She calls me.

Me Yeah sure I guess… When and where and all such buisness?

Her At Meggies tonight. Me, her, Barrows and Jake are going to watch movies in the basement cause her moms out and Hayley can’t be alone at night.

Me …I think I’ll pass… you guys have fun… I’mma just catch up on all the internetting I’m missing while my computers being set up…

I should not have to explain this! I do not care that I am single… dating in highschool is quite pointless. HOWEVER, the sounds of other people sucking face while I’m trying to watch a movie… is like when other people are eating around you and you’re not… and they’re eating something like… chewy… you know… when a little kid stuffs their mouth almost too much… and they can still chew… but it makes that gross sound that makes you gag a little? Yeah… it’s like that.

Moral of the story. If you and your boyfriend… are hanging out with a friend and her boyfriend… do NOT invite other people along unless they have a person to bring also. YOU may not feel weird cuddling with your other and being mushy infront of them… but they will feel damn awkward… and a little sick if you wanna start suckingface. I don’t mean kissing… like… people are happy… they hug and kiss… but I mean sucking face… like people do when they watch movies… or are in a similar situation where that kind of kissing happens… The ‘I’m going to lick your tonsils and know what you had for breakfast’ stuff… just… don’t do it infront of other people unless they have a way to tune you out…. and a movie is not a way to tune you out… neither is music.

Progress reports came out… I’m doing well in school.. w00t!

I suck at keeping up a blog… but there isn’t much to write about. I have to make some sort of birthday wish list thinger and I don’t really know what to ask for. Er.. I’ll be 18 soon… I can go out and cause many shennanogins and such things.
